Samsung has further expanded its curved gaming monitor range, launching the new CJG5 and CHG90 at Gamescom in Germany.
The Korean giant claims the new products will be affordably priced, with launch pricing of £309.99 for the 27-inch CJG5 and £359.99 for a 32-inch variant (Australian pricing and availability yet to be confirmed).
It is claimed that the CJG5 model will provide high end gaming specs at a comparatively lower price.
Both the 32-inch and 27-inch CJG5 will feature a WQHD high resolution, curved display, 144Hz refresh rate, a high contrast ratio (3000:1) and no bevel.
Soeg-gi Kim, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics claims the affordable price should provide high end tech to more consumer gamers.
“With the technological expertise that we have accumulated throughout the years, we are making efforts to accelerate the gaming features such as 144Hz and high WQHD resolution, which will be appreciated by the mass market.”
The CJG5 display is being used throughout Gamescom right now, with attendees able to see the monitor at Samsung’s booth, as well as stalls for Ubisoft, PUBG, Warner Bros, Deep Silver, Square Enix and Logitech.
Samsung’s other new monitor, the CHG90 super ultra-wide screen display is being presented as the ultimate gaming experience. At 49-inches Samsung claims the screen is the world’s largest QLED curved gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms Moving Picture Response Time(MPRT).
