An 8 inch device believed to be Samsung’s Galaxy Note tablet has been spotted in the wild.SamMobile ascertained Samsung intends on launching an 8 inch Galaxy Note and revealed the device’s specifications. However, at the time there were no photos of the device.
Now Photos have surfaced on Italy’s DDAY.it showing the supposed Note in action. The design language of the device is in line with a leaked brochure picturing the 8 inch Note.

Interestingly you’d expect an 8 inch Note to resemble Samsung’s tablets, after all, an 8 inch device won’t fit into your jeans pocket. Instead the Note looks more like Samsung’s Galaxy Note II, but with that already large device enduring a cycle on steroids.

The look is endemically Samsung which should keep the company out of the crosshairs of Apple’s lawyers, at least on the design front.

It is expected to feature an 8 inch 1,280×800 display, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 1.6GHz quad-core chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory, with the option of inserting a MicroSD memory card.

SamMobile reports the 8 inch tablet will be 7.95mm thin, weigh a breezy 330 grams and is expected to carry an inexpensive price tag.

Two versions of the Note 8.0 will be manufactured, a WiFi only and a WiFi+3G variant, and its official unveiling is expected to take place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, scheduled to commence on the 25th of February.
