Savant’s Smart Host, enabling control over a home’s lighting, climate, entertainment and security, is set to land in the Australian market.The Smart Host combines the functionality of a host and controller, helping to automate a range of devices in up to 12 rooms, housed in a compact form factor.
“The all-new Smart Host allows our authorised integrators to offer Savant’s best-in-class, premium automation software at an incredible value,” Savant CEO William Lynch stated of the unit.
“It makes installations faster, easier and more affordable than ever – and starting this June it’s going to be powering the next generation of Savant homes.”
Recent software features added to the Savant app allow homeowners to create their own system notifications and get alerts on their iOS and Android devices while at home or away.
The Savant app additionally provides capabilities such as Savant Scenes, allowing homeowners to create, capture and schedule “scenes”, incorporating multiple systems at once. By way of example, Savant states: “When the perfect song is on, the lights are low, and everything feels right, users can capture the moment and relive it any time with just one touch.”
Savant has also recently announced the availability of the Savant app on the Apple Watch.
The Smart Host, which will be on display at Integrate 2015 in Melbourne in August, carries a price tag of $2,200 RRP and will begin shipping in June.
