The television network, SBS TV, says its coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup has been watched by 6.4 million viewers nationally.
Its website, The World Game site at www.sbs.com.au/theworldgame delivered 728,000 unique browsers and 390,000 video views.
The TV station’s coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup on 16 June reached 3.3 million viewers nationally.
The live match between Honduras and Chile at 21:30, which saw Chile’s first World Cup match win in 48 years, recorded the largest audience on SBS One for the evening, scoring a national average audience of 504,000 and a total reach of 1.3 million viewers.
In a shock result, 267,000 viewers saw favourites Spain lose to Switzerland 1-0.
