It’s big and fat and looks awfully clumsy to wear but despite this an Adelaide Company is convinced that their new made in China “Dick Tracy” wristwatch phone will be a big hit. This is despite the fact that they appear to be struggling to find sellers for the new gadget which sells for over $600..
The Company claims that has high hopes of selling the phone internationally is set to face some stiff competition from the likes of LG who showed a very slick wristwatch phone at the recent CES Show in Las Vegas.

The phone developed by NV Mobile is at this stage not on sale in Australia and both Telstra and Optus have said that they have little interest in ranging the new offering. Another phone carrier said “We are into serious phones and this appears to be a bit dorky.”
Visitors to the store section on the Companies web site are directed to buy direct from the NV Mobile who are a totally unknown phone Company.
CEO, Anthony Cooke claims that he hopes to sell 100,000 in his first year despite the fact that no retailer has stuck their hand up to wanting to sell the wristwatch phones.
Now the Company is doing the next best by holding a press conference in an effort to drum up interest in the device that is not even waterproof.

The phones are available with a 12 month warranty and a 30-day replacement warranty. They also have twin sim capability so they can run two sim cards and as one observer said “look twice as stupid”.
