Music software developer Serato has introduced a new subscription-based version of its popular DJ controller software used by companies like Pioneer and Denon.
The Serato Studio 1.0 is available for Windows and Mac OS from today for US$15 per month (US$10 per month billed annually), with an initial 14-day free trial.
The new software can also be controlled with existing DJ and MIDI controllers.
Users will recognise familiar features such as coloured waveforms and cue points and will have direct access to their Serato DJ library.
Subscribers will get regular software updates, along with access to Serato Sounds which provides new audio packs featuring drum kits, loops and FX each month.
