Sharp has added three new models to its LED TV range. The LE700X range now includes 46- and 52-inch models, while the LB700X range has added a 46-inch model with integrated Blu-ray player.

The new LED Backlight LCD TVs deliver an energy efficient performance with an impressive reduction in energy consumption compared with conventional LCD TVs, says Sharp.
In addition, the company said that LED technology delivers greater energy savings with a low power consumption of 139W (46-inch), producing less heat generation and is able to boast a backlight life of 100,000 hours and a six-star energy rating (46-inch) and seven star energy for its 52-inch model.
The integrated Blu-ray player features BD LIVE to access additional content via an internet connection and a USB terminal for added local storage. High definition audio is achieved with its 5.1 Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD high resolution audio output.
The LED models features an ultra high dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, uses Sharp’s new X-Gen panel with Advanced Pixel control that minimises light leakage, supports 1080/24P signal input, and has a Fine Motion Advanced Technology for 100/120Hz frame rate conversion.
All models boast a selection of connection options including three HDMI, two AV-In , two Component, S-Video In, PC In as well as AV, Optical Audio and headphone out terminals. Additionally, the Blu-ray drive terminal in the LB700X models has an Ethernet network connector and BD storage/service via USB 2.0.
The HDMI and AQUOS Link feature allows users to seamlessly control compatible HDMI connected products using a single remote control. Other features include an inbuilt digital tuner and Teletext and Freeview compatibility.
