The new line of Sharp double door refrigerators caters for all budgets: the Supreme series, to Premium and the budget-end Essential models.
Sharp’s Supreme and Premium lines are designed to maximise freshness of food via Sharp’s proprietary Plasmacluster Ion (PCI) technology.
The PCI technology improves the purity of the air within the fridge releasing positive and negative ions from internal vents, reducing bacteria and rendering airborne microbes inactive, meaning longer lasting food.
All three series also employ Sharp’s Hybrid Cooling System which prevents excessive dryness, uneven cooling and over cooling.
The Ag+ Nano deodoriser reduces odours in the refrigerator.
All new models have an advanced glass LED touch control panel, to set energy usage and temperatures.
The Supreme and Premium series have higher quality 36 LED lights, while the Essential series use 18 LEDs.
The French Door Supreme series, also includes an Automatic Ice system with four ice cube settings, water level indicator and automatic cleaning function.
Sharp Marketing Manager Mark Beard says demand is rife for better smarter refrigerators.
“The customer is always demanding better technology and smart functions, which is what this series offers best.”
LG recently unveiled its high end French Door models and said demand is increasing for this category by over 25%, while others are falling back.
“We’ve also responded to customer demand for more choice, with a large number of refrigerator options in one range, tailored to different needs and budgets,” said Beard.
The new Sharp fridges come in variations in colours and finishes to suit all kitchens: silver and black are finished in a chic, flat glass finish (Supreme series), which start at $4399 for 676 litreage model while the Essential series has RRP of $2799 for 624 ltr model.
The Premium series sport a stainless steel design with black or silver options, while the Essential series have flat door designs available in silver and white.
