Sharp has released a budget flat screen that doesn’t make it to full HD but backs itself up with a host of handy features on a very slim price tag.Sharp’s LC-32M400X is an HD 16:9 WXGA flat panel that sits at 1366×768 pixels. The 32 incher runs at $599 and will be available later this August.
There are a string of features that are now the norm on most other LCD flat panels, including USB media playback, inbuilt HD digital tuner and. HDMI and analogue inputs and outputs.
Then there’s Sharp’s own Aquos Link for controlling all connected devices with a single remote.
Maximising sound on the small, inbuilt 10W speakers, a digital amplifier is thrown into the panel to produce higher quality, Dolby Digital surround-optimised sound.
