Sharp has today shown a new 3.8 inch and 10.6 inch touch screen display that runs 3D without the need for glasses. Among those interested in the new Sharp technology is Nintendo who are tipped to be developing a new hand held gaming console using the new display.
While Sharp would not name the Japanese supplier interested in their technology, they did not rule out Nintendo as the vendor that at they are currently working with.
During a demonstration at Sharp headquarters in Japan, SmartHouse was able to see and play with the two new screens which delivered crisp sharp 3D images and were responsive when touched.
The company said “In the future they could launch a new 3D tablet” using their new 3D display technology.
Both screens are being developed primarily for gaming and the watching of 3D movies.
Security surrounding the showing of the two new screens was high with visitors stopped from photographing the new 3D display screens.
