HTC’s Evo 3D wonder phone is said to be winging its way here – under the guise of a Shooter.
Telstra are currently testing the HTC Shooter, otherwise known as Evo 3D phone, which has just gone on release today in the US, according to Ausdroid.
Running on Android Gingerbread 2.3.3, Evo (or Shooter to give its Aussie name) has a 4.3″ Super LCD 3D Display, fast as lightening 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor – similar to the Motorola Atrix and Samsung Galaxy II – 5 MP camera (rear) and 1.3Mp out front, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and 1GB RAM.
Shooter also shoots video in 2D at 1080p and 3D at 720p, has an inbuilt 8GB microSD card and 4GB of internal memory.
However, no word yet on when Telstra will be done with their testing and launch the device.
And this is not the only launch HTC fans can be said to look forward to: Telstra are also expected to launch the Sensation on Android here, which boasts almost identical specs to Shooter next month.
However, the launch of the Sensation in both India and New Zealand ahead of Australia left many fans annoyed at the wait.
We’ll let you know if these newbies are worth waiting for when we get our mitts on them. Hurry up, Telstra.
