Australian data and technology provider SkyFii has announced an agreement with hospitality company Merivale, which will see a free Wi-Fi trial conducted at Merivale’s flagship Sydney venues, the Ivy and the Establishment.A trial service agreement covers the provision of SkyFii’s wireless network and analytics services to Merivale, with the trial, which will run over a four-week period, currently being rolled out.
Set against specified deliverables, the trial is a precursor to a possible full rollout of SkyFii’s services across Merivale’s portfolio of hospitality venues, encompassing more than 50 restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels and function spaces in Sydney.
The trial will include eight venues within the Ivy complex and six bars and restaurants at the Establishment, both located in George Street, providing a free Wi-Fi service for Merivale customers.
SkyFii captures, stores and analyses behavioural data through technologies such as Wi-Fi, managing and monetising free public Wi-Fi by creating content channels for advertisers and analysing customer data to assist retailers.
Earlier in the month, SkyFii had announced it had secured four new trial service agreements with Barangaroo, Precision Group, Hawaiian Property Group and Blackstone to be conducted at various locations in Australia.
SkyFii CEO Wayne Arthur stated that the trial “provides the ideal mechanism” for SkyFii to demonstrate the value of its services first-hand.
“Merivale is acknowledged as a leading operator of high-quality dining and entertainment venues in Sydney, and we welcome the opportunity to partner with them to make our unique free Wi-Fi services available to patrons at their Ivy and Establishment venues,” Arthur commented.
