Skype has released its application for the iPhone which allows a user to chat with other skype members for free or send a messgae to users while on the go.

According to skype, this application will allow free Skype-to-Skype calls on your iPhone and iPod touch by simply connecting to a Wi-Fi zone.
Singing into Skype via 3G, EDGE, GPRS, or Wi-Fi will allow users to check who is online. They can also send an instant message if they want to.
The only requirement for this new application is that it requires the iPhone 2.1 Software Update.
