Hisense announced a new LED LCD TV that can record live television though an external drive.

The T28 slim LED LCD TV 19-inch and 22-inch television sets will be available in-store from Saturday, May 8, followed by the 26-inch and 32-inch models in June and the 40-inch model on July 1, 2010.
According to Hisense, the T28 can play Divx and Mpeg movies and music through their TV via its USB drive. It also includes a PVR function that allow viewers to record live television through an external hard drive.
The T28 Series also features a new Hisense auto backlight control (found on 26-inch model and above) that saves energy by adjusting the LCD panel to deliver optimum luminance levels to suit the lighting conditions in the room.

The T28 Series is available at The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman stores nationally at RRP $499 (for model HL19T28L) and RRP $599 (for model HL22T28L).
Three further sizes – a 26-inch model, a 32-inch model and a 40-inch model – will be available in stores in the next two months.
