With an enviable line up of products spanning high performance, ultra-zoom, 2View, camcorder and Wi-Fi, photographers ranging from amateur, hobbyist and professional can capture the very best pictures and share them for all to see with ease.

The Korean tech innovator lays out its stall with four new products, the NX11, the SH100 connected camera, the Switch Grip HMX-Q10 camcorder which makes light work of recording for left and right handed photographers, and the ultra slim Zoom cameras, the WB210, PL120 and WB700.

However, it’s the SH100 that really takes the limelight as it has moves camera technology that big closer to smartphone technology and is aimed at an age where content is king. according to Samsung Electronics Australia’s Digital AV marketing manager, Sagar Dave.

Using the same Android user interface, you simply scroll through your menu to choose various functions, and the Wi-Fi capability lets you pair the device with your smartphone so you can use the phone as the controlling device when taking remote pictures.

It’s a simple innovation, but one that has innovative uses, especially for the amateur photographer or even roving reporter. For example, take the wildlife enthusiast who’s not big on photography. You simply place your camera up in a bird’s nest or similar position, set up your mobile with a Wi-Fi hotspot at a reasonable distance away, and start capturing images without distracting your subject.

And you may be out in the wilds, but if you capture an image that’s worth sharing, you can use the same Wi-Fi hotspot to share your images with a further click or two.

Even if you are at home, you can take advantage of the built-i WiFi to automatically back up shots, or use the DLNA facility, which Samsung has termed AllShare, to hook up to your HDTV and flick through your photos.

Meanwhile the HMX-Q10 is a practical, compact camcorder that will please both left and right handers. The Switch Grip means that whichever way the camcorder is held, the G-magnetic sensor inside the HMX-Q10 recognises the angle and turns the LCD display so it?s easy to see and control recording easily from any angle.

Samsung’s upgrade to the NX10, the NX11
The NX11 is an upgraded model based on the NX10, that comes with new i-Function lenses, introduced for the NX100. The NX11 brings together the CSC type camera with DSLR, with a 18-55mm i-Function lens, as well as two new i-Function lenses, a 20mm pancake and a 20-50mm zoom silver color lens.

Users can toggle between shutter speed, aperture, EV, WB, and ISO quickly and easily by using the i-Function button and ring on the lens, meaning easier and quicker configuration while shooting. Five more innovative lenses also join the NX camera system including a premium portrait lens and lenses for movie capturing, opening new creative avenues for NX users to explore.

And finally, Samsung’s ultra-zoom range incorporates three cameras, the WB210, PL120 and WB700 which deliver great pictures through an intuitive Smart Access user interface. The 14 Megapixel WB700 gives and 18x zoom function and actively cuts out zoom noise. The PL120  is the company’s slimmest ultra zoom witha 10x zoom function.
