Smeg has added to its retro collection of small appliances with a new 800 W four-speed blender.Available in panna, black, red, sliver and pastel blue, the blender, with an enamel-coated body and a Tritan BPA-free 1.5 L jug, joins Smeg’s retro line of toasters, stand mixer and kettle, sporting the same 50s-inspired vintage curves.
It has three preset programs – smoothie, for dense and creamy textures; crushed ice; and pulse, gradually increasing the speed by pressing the back-lit chrome control knob.
With the four speeds, up to a maximum of 18,000 rev/minute, the blender features a smooth-start function, with the blades starting slowly, facilitating the amalgamation of ingredients, accelerating to reach the desired speed.
The blender – along with Smeg’s retro line of appliances – is available nationally from David Jones, Myer and Harvey Norman stores, carrying a price tag of $299 RRP.
