Sonos fans have got a new boost to their music streaming services, with two new digital radio services being added to the brand’s portfolio.
Fans around the world, including Australia, will benefit from the new Sonos experience by being able to stream music, radio, news and podcasts through AUPEO! Personal Radio and Stitcher SmartRadio around their homes from today.
AUPEO! Personal Radio is an Internet radio platform somewhat akin to Last.fm which lets you stream music for free and build a personal radio station with selected music genres and choosing “Love” or “Ban” to create a station that plays only the music you really like!
Listeners can choose from more than 100 genre stations, search for specific artists or tune their personal radio with the one-of-a-kind Mood Selector to match your mood.
You can register for the service at www.Aupeo.com, and AUPEO! is also offering a free 14-day trial of a premium service which features ad-free listening, and higher streaming audio quality.
Stitcher SmartRadio, meanwhile, is a podcast and Internet radio service that streams all of your favourite podcasts and radio shows, on-demand with no need for downloading or syncing.
You can choose from more than 5,000 shows in news, comedy, sports, talk, and entertainment from brands as diverse as NPR, CNN, Fox, BBC World Service, TechCrunch headlines, Adam Carolla and more.
Listeners can aslo personalise their experience by “stitching” together their favorite shows to create playlists as well as discover new shows based on past listening preferences.
Stitcher SmartRadio is available at www.stitcher.com. After registering, go to the Music Menu on any Sonos Controller, touch More Music and add the service to Sonos.
John MacFarlane, CEO, Sonos, said: “Our goal at Sonos is to continuously connect our customers with all the music and radio on the planet.”
