You can stop rubbing your eyes rampantly because you have, indeed, read that correctly. I know you were expecting Apple, who didn’t do too bad themselves, but it looks like Sony has bested them this time.
Sony nabbed 4 awards and an honourable mention for its smartphones. Its Xperia smartphone range fared pretty well, with the Ion (below) and Active nabbing product design awards in the communication category, while its SmartDock and Smart Wireless Headset pro snatched one each. The Sony Xperia Ray, which SmartHouse adored, received an honourable mention.
Apple scored two Best of the Best 2012 awards: one for its dominating iPad 2 and another for its smart covers.

Other winners were HTC’s Droid Incredible 2, Alcatel OT-916, Lenovo S800, Vodafone 555 Blue and 858 Smart, according to reports from phone-site GSMArena.
