The Australian pricing for the PlayStation 4 has been cut, with Sony announcing new pricing for its 500 GB PS4 in the lead-up to the holiday season.Originally retailing at $549.95, Sony states the 500 GB PS4 will now carry a price tag of $479.95, a $70 saving.
“With this year’s biggest blockbusters and next year’s best exclusives such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End set to thrill players, there has never been a better time to join the PS4 community,” Jim Ryan, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and CEO, commented.
“Also, watch out for an amazing range of Ultimate Player Edition bundles, including the 1 TB PS4 and some of the biggest games of the year, offering even greater value.”
Upcoming PS4 titles this year in Australia include Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Star Wars Battlefront, which will launch alongside special PS4 hardware bundles, with Street Fighter V also expected to join the PS4 portfolio in 2016.
Sony recently released its PS4 3.0 system software update, bringing with it a range of new features, which include a focus on creating new ways to connect with friends and players around the world.
