Sony is continuing to update their gaming hardware, with their latest target being their PS Move controllers.
In an announcement on their official Japanese blog, the company revealed that the connection terminal will be changing from a Mini USB to a Micro USB.
This update to the controller means that it will no longer be compatible with Playstation 3, but both Playstation 4 and Playstation VR (PSVR) remain unaffected.
In addition, the built-in lithium ion battery will also be improved, with the new Move models possessing a 3.5V 1900 mAh battery, whereas the old models featured a 3.7V 1350 mAh battery.
The update to the Move, the first-such overhaul since it was released back in 2010, coincides with Sony also updating their PSVR headset with a tweaked design and a new Processor Unit.
It is unknown when the new-look PS Move controllers will be released, but it is likely that Japan will see the first iterations of them before the US or Australia.
