Sony is set to post a net loss of $449 million for the Japanese fiscal year ending in March due to cost cutting and the outsourcing of manufacturing. What is not known at this stage is whether Sony has been able to make gains selling their loss making Bravia TV and Sony PS3 Playstation consoles.
