The fashion- and style-conscious need worry no longer about their Sony PSP clashing with their shoes, handbag or trousers, as Sony today announced that it will release a ‘Ceramic White’ PSP this Thursday.
Sony said it hopes the new look PSP will appeal to beauty and fashion lovers. “Based on unit sales in the period since launch, PSP has been the most successful PlayStation product we have released in Australia. The launch of the Ceramic White PSP will serve to stimulate further sales, encouraging a new wave of customers to discover the gaming, photography, movie and internet features available via the PSP,” said Sony Australasia’s Michael Ephraim.
The product, which seems to be, er, emulating the success of Apple’s ‘piano-white’ design concept will be launched in the Value Pack version ($400) and will be equipped with special white accessories, including headphones with remote control, wrist strap, pouch and a 32 MB memory stick duo.
“With the recent release of a new Firmware upgrade (Version 2.70 available free at www.yourpsp.com.au), and with more PSP innovations on the horizon, PSP will soon become an essential companion for everyone’s entertainment needs,” continued Ephraim.
For a limited period, all purchases of the black and white PSP Value Packs will include a free game of choice, Sony said.
