Sony Computer Entertainment Australia’s Software Product Manager, Kendall Bascetta commented, “SingStar is a social gaming phenomenon that has found a place in well over half a million Australian homes. With such a strong following, SingStar epitomises the sense of fun and community that Girls Night In is all about.”
“Following the success of the partnership in 2007, we have significantly increased our support this year by directly contributing to the funding of the marketing campaign, with the aim to help Girls Night In continue to grow. Additionally, we are working with our retailers to promote Girls Night In registration in their catalogues and a small donation will be made for SingStar products purchased throughout October,” added Kendall.
Since 2005, over 12,000 Girls Night In events have been held which have raised over $7 million. The funds raised from Girls Night In are channelled into vital women’s cancer projects including research, support services and prevention programs.
