The Sony Cyber-shot T200 and T70 sport the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optics (T200 with 5 x optical zoom, T70 with 3 x optical zoom), an 8.1 megapixel resolution with the powerful Sony-developed BIONZ engine, and comes in different colours.
The new range of Cyber-shot also has the new ‘Smile Shutter’ function, which enables the camera to automatically react to a smile. The Smile-shutter system simplifies the photographing process by automatically identifying when someone is smiling and immediately take a shot without the need to press the shutter button. If case there are several people in the frame, the camera takes a shot if and when the main subject (selected using the touchscreen interface) smiles, the company says.
The T-series comes with a Face Detection mode that automatically adjusts exposure, flash and other settings, as well as a touch-sensitive LCD screen for easy control and photo viewing. Sony also promises superb image clarity and colour reproduction with its Clear Photo PCD Plus technology. An Anti-Blur solution reduces the chances of spoiled photos, while Sony’s Clear Raw NR processing aims to reduce colour and luminance noise for more natural pictures at high sensitivity settings.
The new Sony Cyber-shot T200 and T70 digital camera are now available throughout Australia and has an RRP of $749 and $599 respectively.
