Sony has won three gold International Forum (IF) design awards for two of its compact cameras and a set of headphones.It managed to get 17 awards in total, which were given out at the CeBIT show in Germany. The Cyber-shot T700 and the T77, plus its Active Style Headphones were the recipients of the gold awards, which are evaluated on a number of criteria, including design quality, workmanship, choice of material, degree of innovativeness, environmental compatibility, functionality, ergonomics, visualisation of use, safety, brand value, branding and universal design.
Other Sony products to receive an iF Design Award were the Sountina active speaker system, Walkman S series, Handycam soft carry case (LSC-SRC), S-Frame digital photo frame, CP1 digital photo frame, a350 digital SLR camera, a900 digital SLR camera, HVR-Z7 HDV camcorder, DAV-F500 home theatre system, BRAVIA EX1 LCD TV, XEL-1 OLED TV and the MDR-EX500 headphones.
