Sony’s flagship Xperia Z5 Premium 4K smartphone, bundled with its MDR-NC31EM Digital Noise Cancelling Headset, has landed in the Australian market.Sony states the Xperia Z5 Premium is the world’s first 4K smartphone, decked out with a 5.5″ 4K Triluminos display and IPS, “where breathtaking detail is depicted with pinpoint accuracy for the most natural images”.
The Xperia Z5 Premium upscales content to 4K, enhancing native and third party videos or photos, while users can capture 4K content, with the option to preserve 8 MP images.
Sporting Sony’s 1/2.3 Exmor RS 23 MP sensor and a f2.0 G Lens, the Xperia Z5 Premium’s camera “is designed with Sony’s Alpha interchangeable lens camera technology for clear, vivid imagery every time”.
Sony states the Xperia Z5 Premium “is also capable of the fastest autofocus in a smartphone, capturing moments at a speed of just 0.032 seconds”.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, comes with 32 GB memory, with the ability to take a 200 GB external microSD card, and is decked out with a 3430 mAh battery, which Sony states provides a two-day battery life.

The Xperia Z5 Premium is now available nationwide for $1,199 RRP at JB Hi-Fi in chrome, and at Sony Kiosks, Sony Centres and online in black, chrome and gold.
