A Sony branded smartphone with industry leading specs was leaked by Russian site Mobile-review. So far it is goes by the moniker “Xperia Yuga” and it has a 5 inch Full HD (1,920×1,080) display with a pixel-per-inch density of 440.
Inside it features a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 quad core chipset, an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

Sweetening the deal is a 12MP rear camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and a strong connectivity portfolio, including MicroUSB, MicroHDMI, MicroSD memory, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 4G LTE support.

On paper this reads like an impressive smartphone complete with all of the ingredients Sony needs to become a big player, but that all depends on when this phone will hit the market. Furthermore, TechRadar notes this is a prototype which could evolve for the better or worse before its unveiling.
With CES 2013 nearing, it’s fair to guess this Sony smartphone could be revealed sooner rather than later.
