Notable smartphone case maker, Speck, has unveiled its latest range of durable and stylish covers suitable for the iPhone 8, iPhone X & Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The new range includes revamped versions of its best-selling cases and has added it most durable phone cover to date.

Speck states its entire line-up of new iPhone cases features “fresh fall colours” and “new patterns”.

The toughest iPhone case Speck has released to date, the Presidio ULTRA, is designed to withstand “extreme drops and resist the elements” – reportedly drop tested from up to 15 feet, offering four layers of protection, dust and dirt resistance, and 360-degree port coverage.
The super durable case is said to be suitable for both the “working parent on the go” and the adventuring “weekend warrior”. It includes an IMPACTIUM ULTRA Bumper, designed to increase protection against “drops, dirt and whatever else”.
Bryan Hynecek, VP of Design for Speck, states of the high protection cover:
“We wanted to make an ultra-protective case in a way that felt authentic to Speck. Presidio ULTRA is unique in that its convertible to give customers options of rugged protection when they need it, and slim protection when they don’t”.
Two of Presidio’s most popular cases have also undergone improvement, the Presidio CLEAR and Presidio GRIP.
Presidio’s CLEAR case is heralded the “No. 1 best-selling clear case in the U.S”, featuring microdot technology – following new improvements it is set to offer increased resistance to UV yellowing and scratches.
Presidio GRIP’s case has also been enhanced to offer improved “grip geometry”, which is said to provide a more tactile hold.
As an exciting development, Speck has also unveiled its first stylish metallic collection, named ‘Presidio METALLIC’, encompassing five ‘top season colours” (rose gold, gold, tungsten grey, taro purple and peppermint green), whilst also boasting a scratch resistant finish, and 10-foot drop protection.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8
Speck’s Samsung Galaxy Note 8 cases are slim, yet protective.
The Presidio CLEAR case is designed to let the Galaxy Note 8’s “sophisticated design shine through”.
Speck’s Presidio GRIP case features angled rubber ridges to offer a “no-slip grip” both vertically and horizontally.
Both cases are equipped with ‘IMPACTIUM’, heralded a “dynamic material” which absorbs and disperses the shock of impact.
Presidio GRIP’s case and the Presidio SHOW include an ‘IMPACTIUM Shock Barrier’ – a band of ridges lining the internal case – which when dropped will absorb and disperse shock.
