The all new Samsung Galaxy S III Mini smartphone will have a 1-GHz dual-core STE U8420 processor and a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800-by-480 pixels insiders have revealed.The device due to be released in Germany tomorrow and is already with carriers in Australia.
Unlike the new Motorola Razr HD, the new Samsung smartphone will come with the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Looking remarkably like the Samsung Galaxy S III, the new mini is smaller and has a plastic body measuring in at 121.55 x 62.95 x 9.85 mm.
It will come with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
Other specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA, NFC for mobile payments and Android Beam, and a 1,500 mAh battery. The phone also sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash as well as a VGA-resolution camera on the front.
It’s tipped that the device will sell for around $499.
