SteelSeries has rereleased its Siberia Neckband Headset with a redesign to fully support iPod, iPhone and iPad functionality. The Siberia Neckband originally stood out for its extra large, cushioned frame for extreme comfort and ‘neckband’ feature that let the speakers rest comfortably on the back of the neck rather than over the user’s hair.
Its latest outing has integrated iPhone functionality into its microphone system which can be used to answer calls on-the-go like any other headset with no connections other than the 3.5mm jack that controls audio, voice and inline remote controls for devices.
The headset is still mainly aimed at gamers, but its high audio quality and chic design lends itself to audiophiles and the casual, stylish music listener. Xbox 360 cables that connect to its controller and a retractable microphone still make this a gamer’s friend.
“We knew that if our audio products can meet and exceed expectations for gamers, that our designs would also be appealing to a broader music and entertainment audience. Now iPod, iPhone and iPad users who want an audio solution for entertainment on their mobile device have a new, high-quality headset option,” said SteelSeries CEO, Bruce Hawver.
