PC manufacturers are set to adopt the super-fast I/O technology called Thunderbolt which up untill now has only been found on the Apple MacBook Air claims Intel.Among the brands set to integrate the technology into their devices is Asus and Acer according to Intel who were one of the developers of the technology which allows files to be transferred between devices 20 times faster than USB 2.0.

Intel made the announcement that manufacturers of Windows based PC’s will use the technology originally called “Light Peak” at the IDF conference currently taking place in San Francisco.
