“Join us for a small gathering,” the media invite declared, suggesting something small is to be unveiled on the 20th.
Microsoft watchers believe the New York-based event could mark the unveiling of a Surface mini tablet, riding the recent wave of popularity for the Microsoft Windows tablets, which are selling very well down under.

Surface mini rumoured specs include 7.5″ or 8.5″ screen, while other reports tip a stylus pen and AMD processor.
Considering the Surface 10″ has dropped in price considerably of late, we wouldn’t be surprised if the mini has a price tag of under $300, in order to compete with the army of cheap Androids out there.
