Contrary to what most believe, computer electronics do not actually slow down as they get older. In fact, 98 percent of all slowdowns and other problems are caused by faulty settings, clutter, and fragmentation that result from everyday PC use.
System Mechanic 8 combines more than 40 tools in a single console, automatically fixing and speeding up a PC.
It offers a simple dashboard interface for novice users, and advanced tools options for PC experts who want full control over their optimisation. The dashboard view gives a quick snapshot of the individual tune-up tools and required tasks, as well as a meter display of the system’s health. A simple click starts the analysis process, identifying any issues causing slow downs or systems errors.
While many products designed to speed up PCs take up so many system resources that they actually slow them down, System Mechanic 8.0 introduces ActiveCare 2.0. Beyond schedulers, ActiveCare automatically tunes a PC without ever interrupting the user or placing demands on system resources – it runs only when a PC is truly idle, and deactivates the instant the system needs resources for other processes.
The new Visual Registry Optimisation Tool graphically shows fragmentation and waste within the registry, removes the unnecessary bloat and defragments the registry to return it back to its original fast, efficient size and performance upon the next reboot, a process usually taking less than a minute.
Another new feature in version 8 is DriveSense, a visual window into the health of your hard drive, which shows the status of up to 46 SMART hard drive sensors, such as temperature settings.
