Foldable phones are all the rage once again, and rollable screen technology is coming along in leaps and bounds.
TCL is combining both technologies with its own ‘dragon hinge’ creation to unleash the Fold ‘n Roll, a 6.87-inch phone that can expand into a 8.85-inch tablet, and again into a larger 10-inch tablet.
There’s no release date yet, and it seems the company are still in the early stages, admitting it’s “still exploring the technical specifications” of such a device. Still, the imagery they have released looks promising, and any Transformers fans will enjoy the process of using such a malleable device. As Verge point out, TCL have promised a foldable phone by the end of the year, and if they can nail such a thing within an affordable device, it may well have a gamechanger on its hands.
