TEAC Australia has announced the company’s sponsorship of Ford Performance Racing (FPR) for 2009 and 2010.
While the partnership is TEAC’s first entry into motorsport, the company believes that the sponsorship will support its marketing strategy for the next fiscal year and beyond.
As TEAC Senior Product and Marketing Manager, Daniel Seow said: “We at TEAC Australia continue to seek sound business opportunities to leverage our brand and brand identity within the Australian market. The V8 Supercar Championship Series is a strong fit. The audience figures and profile complement that of our target buyer and the event allows us to present our products in a high-tech, high-performance environment, which clearly reflects what we sell.”
The key focus of the sponsorship will be in increasing TEAC brand and quality awareness as TEAC’s market share continues to grow within Australia. However, TEAC will also receive prominent signage on the rear spoiler and front area of both FPR Ford Falcon V8 Supercars driven by Mark Winterbottom and Steve Richards.
As Daniel Seow says: “I’m confident we’ll be able to execute some really exciting marketing with this partnership. As a result, I look forward to continuing to maximise our relationship with Ford Performance Racing over the next two years and beyond.”
As a distributor of lifestyle consumer electronics products, such as LCD TVs, DVDs and portable audio equipment, TEAC Australia will join Ford, FPV, Castrol, Orrcon Steel, Lawrence & Hanson and WesTrac CAT in its sponsorship capacity.
In welcoming TEAC Australia as a FPR sponsor, Director – Business Operations, Mark Roworth said: “Our strategy is to utilise FPR in the promotion of fast-moving consumer goods and I’m thrilled to have such a progressive brand as TEAC on our cars. The partnership and brand association is great and I’m very optimistic about the joint opportunities this presents TEAC sponsor Ford for both companies and look forward to seeing how we will work with TEAC to increase sales through its impressive list of retail partners nationally.”
