Australian Personal Computer (APC) magazine is down 12% to 21,612, PC User–another ACP publication–is down 15.6% to 28,022 and PC & Tech Authority circulation has fallen 14.09% to 17,207 circulation.The rising star is game magazine Games Informer that has seen an increase of 29.84% to 50,893 circulation.
Publications Sound & Image, Gear, Smart Home & Australian Hi Fi have not submitted their publications for audit with one former staff member claiming that circulation on some of these titles have fallen “significantly”.
Earlier this year SmartHouse Magazine discontinued their print publication. They replaced it with a digital magazine that is now available online. The publication has seen a significant jump in readership since going digital.
All readers are linked to a name and email address with online research showing which pages are read and which readers have forwarded the publication to friends via Twitter or Facebook.
The last edition was sent out to 43,000 people who have registered to receive the publication via the JB Hi Fi web site.
The September edition will be mailed to over 100,000 Camerahouse customers, CEDIA members who attended the recent CEDIA trade show in Brisbane along with an additional 40,000 customers who have registered with a major distributor of consumer electronic goods.
