Telstra executives are refusing to confirm that the new Google Moto X, which is currently being evaluated by the company has two 4G antennas. If so, it will make it the fastest smartphone ever launched in Australia.
SmartHouse understands that the new Google device, which Telstra executives have said is a “game-changer”, has dual LTE MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) antennas. We also understand that the new Google software allows users to pull down configurations that allow the smartphone to be configured differently to current model Android smartphones.
The new software is believed to be designed similar to the Google Now software, with users able to pull down cards for weather, travel and other Android functions.
By installing two 4G antennas, users will be able to upload and download content significantly faster than any other smartphone, especially if the device comes with a fast processor similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2.3GHz processor.
This week, Google took out adverts in several newspapers in the United States and launched a sign-up page for those interested in the device. The advertisements boasted that the device would be designed, built and assembled in the United States.
