Telstra will be broadcasting online and to Next G mobiles 10 live gigs by various Australia artists when the BigPond Monday Night Live Series 2 launches later this month.
The gigs will be exclusive to BigPond.com and Telstra Next G mobiles live. Artists will include Powderfinger, Cut Copy, The Panics, The Herd and Pete Murray.
The performances will be free for anyone with a broadband connection, though BigPond customers will not have the download data counted towards their usage allowance. On Telstra Next G mobiles, the cost per concert live is $2.95.
Tracks from the performances will also be made afterwards as both audio and video downloads exclusively on BigPond.com and Telstra Next G mobiles. They will be priced at $2.99 per track for Dual Download on Next G mobiles, and $1.49 per track via BigPond.com. Video downloads will cost $3.50 each on Next G phones.
BigPond’s Group Managing Director, Justin Milne, said: “Delivering entertainment via new media is BigPond’s speciality, and with tickets to see these artists being some of the hottest and hardest to get hold of at the moment, this is simply the next best way for fans to experience their top-notch music.
The series starts on 28 April 2008 and afterwards via the BigPond Music button on mobiles and at BigPond Music TV online.
