Telstra has won initial sole rights to market Google’s new sophisticated Pixel smartphone in Australia.
The handsets will be available outright from JB Hi-Fi and on various plans direct from Telstra. Delivery is planned to start on October 20, but both phones are available for pre-order from today.
Both the Google Pixel and Pixel XL will come in 32GB and 128GB variants, with Australian pricing starting at A$1079 for the basic model, $1269 for the Pixel XL.
An upgraded Chromecast TC streaming device will be available in November for a recommended $99.
The all-new “Home” personal assistant gadget at this stage is only being marketed in the USA.
