Telstra will launch a new LTE-A version of its 4G mobile networks, capable of downloads close to 600Mbps, in the next 12 months, a major executive has said. Telstra’s (TLS) head of networks, Mike Wright, made this announcement at a Telstra investor day in Sydney late last week.He said a trial of the long-term evolution advanced service had already achieved speed tests in a few metropolitan cells on its live commercial network. This followed lab tests earlier this year with mobile technology vendors Ericsson and Qualcomm.
