Telstra is close to announcing a new Samsung Galaxy S that will be faster than the current model being sold by Optus; it will also run the new Android 2.2 operating system.
A Telstra source told SmartHouse that the Samsung Galaxy S model set to be launched by Telstra on their Next G network “will be different than the model currently being sold by Optus”.
Last night Samsung said that the Galaxy S will be upgraded to Android 2.2 in September, which is when Telstra are tipped to launch their model of the popular Android based phone.
A Samsung spokesperson said: “The Android 2.2 update is currently in development and will be released at the end of September”.
The Telstra Samsung Galaxy S will come with Flash 10.1 and faster operational speeds along with Full HD video recording capability.
