Live cricket is available online but the big difference is that Cricket Australia is delivering the service not the Nine Network who have the rights to the free to air TV transmission.
For the first time, cricket fans who go to www.cricket.com.au/tv will be able to watch the cricket live at a cost of $6.40 a day or $30.00 for the season, but only in markets where live broadcasts are not available.
In Australia, the Nine Network and the ABC have the TV and radio rights respectively, viewers will be able to watch a daily 10-minute highlights package on the site at the end of the day’s play.
Ball-by-ball live action is available on the small screen: 3 mobile subscribers can get unlimited use of the Cricket TV mobile channel for $5 a month. Three million live streams are expected to be viewed during the season. For live radio coverage go to:
