Thieves who worked out how to steal laptops from a Harvey Norman store have been arrested and charged by NSW Police.
The thefts from the Harvey Norman, Coffs Harbour store baffled management as the notebooks were attached by a chain yet despite this several disappeared last week.
According to the Coffs Harbour Advocate, security footage showed the offenders manipulated the locks on the computers, while staff were busy with other customers.
NSW Police who were called in to investigate the crime were able to recover the stolen laptops when search warrants were executed on two homes in Coffs Harbour.
Three women and a man are to face Coffs Harbour Local Court on October 6 on stealing and drug charges.
A woman, 28, and a man, 21, have been charged with stealing and possessing stolen property.
Police say other items found inside the Toormina home are also suspected of being stolen.
