Teac has unveiled a new line of LED-backlit TVs that can record TV shows via USB.

The LE4688FHD (46-inches) and LE5588FHD (55-inches) have a screen thickness of less than 2cm. The LED LCD TVs are H.264/MPEG-4 compliant and compatible and enable viewers to watch the latest free digital TV programs. They include four HDMI connections and have a swivel base for easy viewing.
In addition, Teac claims that the LE1978HD (19-inches), LE2278FHD (21.6-inches) and LE2478FHD (23.6-inches) are less than 3 cm thick, provide 1000:1 contrast ratio, have HDMI, Component, AV and VGA ports, and are able to run off 12 Volt DC.
Teac also said that the new LED models include the ability to record live television on a thumb drive or an external hard drive and include a seven day Electronic Program guide allowing for easy recording of a week’s worth of programs via a USB port located on the side of the unit. The USB port also allows for playback of video files, music and photos.
The LE4688FHD and LE5588FHD have a three year warranty and are available from leading retailers around Australia for a recommended retail price of $2,699 and $3,999 respectively.
The Teac LE1978HD, LE2278FHD, and LE2478FHD are available with a 12 month warranty from leading Australian retailers for a recommended retail price of $499, $599 and $699 respectively.
