TomTom Launches FM Windscreen Mount

Tom Tom has unveiled a windscreen dock that allows you to use your car radio to wirelessly play navigation instructions and music as well as take hands-free calls from your GO device.

The FM Transmitter Mount allows the device to transmit information over the air to the car radio. You simply dock the GO on the mount and tune the radio to an unused FM frequency and choose the same frequency on the device.

You can then reap the benefits of accessing content from your TomTom without cluttering the car up with cables.

Integration also ensures that music stops when navigation instructions are played or phone calls are made.

The FM Transmitter Mount is designed chiefly to be integrated with the GO 910, which has 12GB memory to store up to 3000 songs. 710 users can also integrate with their iPod to hear music.

The mount will launch in Europe next month.
