TomTom Update Brings High Res GPS To Apple’s IPad

TomTom previewed an updated version of its iPhone and iPad TomTom application at the Berlin IFA technology exhibition, showing off a few nifty innovations.

The revised update will have an enhanced screen resolution, sharpened graphics and more intuitive controls. It will also be optimised for iPads, making better use of its larger screen.

We have listened to our customers,” says Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director at TomTom. “In response to strong customer demand, we have optimised our TomTom App for the iPad. Now customers have one App for all iOS devices.”

The updated TomTom app will be available for download during spring of 2011.

Customers who currently own the $90 TomTom app on their iPhones/iPads will be able to update their version at no extra cost.
