The current record stands at 86 hours and Topfield’s Australian attempt will be played out at Star City’s Sports Theatre in Pyrmont, Sydney from 15:00 on 13th June. Kick-off will be overseen by Australian soccer legend and former Socceroo, Steve Corica.
TOPFIELD has already found two willing Fanatics willing to have a go and is now looking for the final three to take the remaining hot seats.
Fanatics can register their details at www.toptvrecordings.com.au or www.facebook.com/TopTVRecordings by simply posting a tagged photo to Facebook that shows their soccer flair with a 25 word caption explaining why they believe they deserve the chance to break the Guinness Record for Australia.
A combined pool of $10,000 of participation prizes are on offer including the chance for the successful record breaker to play soccer legend and former Socceroo, Steve Corica in a private, high-adrenaline computer soccer game shootout!
The two fanatics chosen by Topfield are:
Fanatic 1: A young Sydney woman who’s entire family live and breathe the game. She has played league soccer for 12 years, has won a best ‘Italian Dive’ competition and even themed her 21st birthday party around soccer.
Fanatic 2: A young man from Brisbane who proclaims “Football is Life” and has a more than healthy passion for Chelsea FC.
