The Trump administration has removed Russian-based security specialist Kaspersky Lab from two lists of approved vendors for US government agencies.
Washington agencies can no longer purchase technology from Kaspersky, due to concerns that its products could be used by the Kremlin to gain entry into US networks.
The delisting of Kaspersky follows months of mounting suspicion among intelligence officials and lawmakers that the company may be connected to hostile Russian intelligence agencies accused of cyber attacks on the US.
Kaspersky has denied any involvement in cyber-espionage.
