Not to be outdone by this weeks launch of a new Apple iPhone, HTC is set to launch a new HTC One X+ Android smartphone and an HTC Accord Windows Phone which will be called the X8.The HTC One X+ will come with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and the Google Nexus 7 launched Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Telstra is already in possesion of both smartphones.
The new Windows Phone X8 will have a 4.3in screen and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, as well as an 8-megapixel camera which is more mid range than high end.
A big benefit is the inclusion of a NFC chip and Beats audio branding along with 16GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM.
The new 8 megapixel camera reportedly uses a 29mm f/2.0 lens, which should let it take in more light than either the f/2.6 Samsung Galaxy S3 or the f/2.4 iPhone 4S. It also has a LED flash and can capture 1080p video.
The 1.6GHz quad-core CPU in the HTC One X+ can be clocked to 1.7GHz in single-core mode. It also has 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The size is similar to current model HTC handsets at 134.36mm tall by 69.9mm wide and just 9.3mm thick. It weighs in at 129g and has a 1800mAh battery.
HTC is set to hold a launch event on September 19th.
