Logitech-owned Ultimate Ears (UE) has unveiled the follow-up to its stocky Bluetooth speaker Wonderboom with the “Wonderboom 2”, boasting bigger better sound and an improved battery life of 13 hours.
Slated for a US launch on June 25 for US$99.99, same price as the original Wonderboom. Local pricing and availability yet to be confirmed.
UE has equipped the Wonderboom 2 with specially tuned Outdoor Boost mode for better sounding audio outside, simply activate with the press of a button.
The updated speaker features high-performance fabric with an IP67 rating — increased from its predecessor’s IPX7 rating — for dust and water resistance and can still float in water.
Ultimate Ears has also updated the Double Up features which enable users to pair two Wonderboom 2 speakers with the option to play back in real stereo separation.
Like 2018’s Boom 3, the Wonderboom 2 offers two-tone fabrics and a new bungee cord loop.
Besides other smaller design updates, the new speaker is very similar to its predecessor.
The Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 is set to launch in the US on June 25 US$99.99, local pricing and availability yet to be released.
